Many of you may not know this - but I grew up riding horses and still have two of my own! Growing up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the 90's, there wasn't a ton of Western riding centers for me to learn to be a cowgirl at, no matter how badly I wanted to. 🤠 I did get my start in Western, however it was over an hours drive each way for my Mom to get me there. And truthfully, at 7 years old I was just obsessed with horses and wanted to learn all I could! I agreed pretty quickly to switch to English for a much closer barn to learn at and fell in love. While I never really entered the show circuit other than a brief stint in local hunters classes -  I did end up riding for my colleges Equestrian Team. And believe it or not - at 34 years old that little girl inside me has still not given up on her cowgirl dreams! So getting to combine so many of my passions and shoot photos of these incredible riders brought me more joy and inspiration than I can put into words.
