core values

because if you're going to pay someone that much $$$, you deserve to know the pillars of the service they provide

01.

Hospitality

02.

Integrity & Authenticity

03.

Teamwork

04.

Adaptability

05.

Empathy & Respect

Wedding days contain many moving parts, many personalities, many feelings, and often, many last minute changes. After 12 years in the industry, I am steadfast in my ability to adapt to these moving parts in a professional and caring manner, keeping your needs and desires as my client at the forefront of my mind.

I am so passionate about ensuring I am serving each of my couples to the best of my ability, as well as their loved ones on the wedding day. I view hospitality as an integral and essential part of my job, and it's truly one of my favorite parts!

Applying these aspects to both sides of my job is important to me. Integrity and Authenticity on the business side means transparency with pricing, honesty & accountability on my responsibilities and authentic, genuine communication. These values are also present in the photos themselves, as I strive to capture photos that tell the truth about your day. Showcasing the real, honest moments and preserve your memories in a way that honors both truth and artistic viewpoints.

Whether you're having a mountainside elopement or a 200 person wedding, you'll have a team of either a few, or many people helping you. I am committed to being a team player. Not only the two of you, but your family, friends and your other vendors to ensure your day is centered around working together for our shared goal.

You deserve for your vendors to care about you. You are so much more than a "client". You are two individuals with your own lives, passions, experiences and loved ones. You are in love and planning your dream wedding, and your needs, goals, vision and who you two are matters deeply to me and I carry that with me in all aspects of working together.

polaroid

a space for your memories to live

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, one thing I knew I really wanted was a special place to store the polaroids from our entire experience. I knew I'd be taking them on our drive out there with our dogs, during the week with our friends and family, the wedding day itself, and all that would come after. I wanted somewhere I could store these, and continue to add to as our life together progresses. All starting with our wedding. Something we could have our guests write notes in, something we could jot down memories in or add ticket stubs or special mementos into as well...almost like a living scrapbook. And then I found these albums. I fell in love with it immediately. It's entirely handmade by a small business creative in the UK, and is a blank slate inside to make your own. I knew right away I wanted to start getting these in the hands of my clients. So my 2024 packages have a couple options that include them, or you can add  it on! I'll start it off with the polaroids I take on your wedding day, and then mail it to you for you and your partner to add to and make your own over the years to come...❤️

frequently asked questions

I've been shooting weddings since 2017, and have been a full-time photographer since 2019.

I do not put a limit on the amount of photos I deliver! I will give you as many as I can. A big part of my job is finding the balance between choosing images that best tell the story of your day without giving you too few or too many. Too few and you'll be left feeling like there are missed moments. Too many and you'll feel overwhelmed. Because of that the amount is different for every wedding. I generally say to expect anywhere from 50-100 per hour. But it greatly depends on the flow of your day, and whether I'm able to focus on shooting candidly or being pulled in different directions to do XYZ. Regardless, it's a lot of photos and I've never had anyone tell me their gallery was too small! As for sneak peeks, yes you can expect a small sneak peek gallery in the week or two after your wedding. I do not do sneak peeks for engagements or portrait sessions, it is much quicker for me to get those done all at once!

You are guaranteed access for 30 days, however they'll stay active as long as possible. I simply guarantee the 30 days in case the gallery company changes their policy. Currently my galleries are set to unlimited access.

No. You are hiring me not only for my expertise in shooting, but also editing. If you've hired me you understand that you will be getting only the edited photos that I release to you. And I promise, I deliver all the possible photos. The only ones I don't deliver are duplicates, ones that were blurry, someone walked in front of the camera, etc.

Once the retainer has been paid and contract signed, the only other requirement I have is that your wedding be paid in full 30 days before your big day. However, I'm very flexible, and am happy to suit your needs. Some of my couples opt for a payment plan of 3-4 payments split up evenly over the months before your wedding. Some pay a little every month, some pay in one lump sum at the 1 month mark. Whatever works best for you is what we'll do! Please let me know if you have a preference and make sure to review your contract for details. I take payments through the invoice I send (with a card or bank transfer) or via mailed check.

My retainer is $1,500 for any wedding or elopement package. The retainer is paid to hold your date and is not refundable. This is due to the fact that I am turning away other paying clients for that date once you have booked your wedding as well as starting to work for you from that point on.

I do not work off shot lists, with the exception of the family formals list. I've tried it before, and believe me, you don't want me working off a shot list. When that happens, my focus isn't able to fully be on capturing your day to the best of my ability and using my best judgement and expertise. It's focused on checking off this list so I don't leave you upset. It also means your focus is more ensuring "perfect photos" than on enjoying your day and being present in the moment. I ask my couples to trust me and allow me to do what I do best and capture your precious moments the way I've worked and practiced so hard to do!

Absolutely! I actually have a guide I send out to all my couples that shares some tips on things to consider when booking your vendors as well as a ton of links directly to all my favorites in different categories that I've worked with over the years! I will send that over once we're all booked. :)

No, you don't need one. However, for weddings larger than 150 guests, I do recommend one if it's in your budget. It's nice to get more of your guests captured. And even for elopement or smaller wedding days, it's nice to have another artistic viewpoint. So if it's in your budget, it's a nice extra to have. If it's not in your budget, don't worry. I am very comfortable shooting weddings solo!

Shew, I get this. Wedding photography is pricey for a lot of reasons. As small business owners, photographers are responsible for not only shooting and editing, but also every aspect of running and maintaining a business. I need to be able to buy new equipment (editing software, computers, cameras, lenses, flashes, and more), pay an accountant, have liability insurance, pay income taxes, hire second shooters, maintain a website and gallery site, deal with credit card fees, and much more. I'm not going to list it all out because there's so much that goes into it! On top of that, this is what I do for a living, and have been for nearly a decade, so I have to be able to pay myself a livable wage that is appropriate for my experience level. In addition to that, the sheer amount of time that goes into each and every client is vast. I am not just showing up with a camera and snapping photos. And truthfully, the time I spend shooting is minuscule compared to the work I do for my clients not behind the camera! From the moment you hire me, I'm on your vendor team. Working with you to help advise, plan, and ensure your day happens the way you want it to. There are countless hours I spend emailing, on phone calls, helping build timelines, advising on shoot plans etc. Most wedding packages include an engagement session or rehearsal dinner, all with their own plans to coordinate, travel time and editing time. On your wedding day, I am not only working with you, but all your vendors and guests for the full day. And then after your wedding, there is at least a full week (as in time added up) of editing that goes into your gallery and polaroid album. A lot goes into this business baby of mine, but I'm so grateful to be able to do it, and to be able to gift you with images that will last you a lifetime in the end!

I completely understand wanting to see a full gallery from photographers. And while it is pretty common for photographers to send these out when asked, I do not. I personally feel very strongly that my clients privacy is a priority. I share very large previews on my gallery page, but the full size galleries are significantly larger. I know I wouldn't want a stranger viewing all the intimate moments of my own wedding day so for that reason, no, I do not share full size galleries without consulting the client. If you are interested in seeing photos from a specific venue I've worked at, you're welcome to ask and I will check with a client to ensure they're comfortable with it, but it's up to them!

I currently live in my hometown of Salisbury, Maryland with my husband and our two dogs, cat, and gecko! I am also partially based out of the Colorado and Arizona areas. I am open to traveling anywhere for a shoot and do so often. I will include travel in any prices I send. My husband and I own a converted sprinter van we can travel in and live out of, so I'll utilize that as often as possible to save my clients money on hotels!

That's completely understandable! And you're not alone in that. It's quite often that clients aren't sure how much coverage they might need until we're closer to your wedding day and you have a more put together timeline. I allow clients to add on coverage time up to and including the day of! I recommend booking the lowest coverage option to lock in your date, and then we can add on time later. If you're having an elopement or intimate ceremony and want a completely customized coverage option, just let me know and we can hop on a call to go over all the specifics and I will build a custom coverage plan for you!

My editing style is geared towards photos that are true to life, showing off the beauty and colors as close to how they were on your day, while also bringing that pop that only editing can bring. My ultimate goal with my edits is to accurately represent your day in a way that looks great today, and that you'll still love when you back at them years down the road.

I do! In an era of AI and automations, I keep everything in-house. What does that mean? That means that what you are paying for is a personalized boutique service and relationship every step of the way. Each email or message, you are hearing from me. Every single photo is taken by me, then hand selected and fine-tuned to perfection by me. I spend countless hours at my computer ensuring that each and every one of your photos is edited to the standards I set for myself and my clients. I firmly believe that a large part of what you are paying for includes the time and expertise I have spent almost a decade crafting, and I put that craftsmanship into each of my photos.
